RUFINO MENDOZA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Four years ago, I became involved through volunteering through the Fort Worth ISD Adopt-a-School Program. The Fort Worth school adopted, with it's name sake from a retired Fort Worth Police Chief, a highly regarded role model, Rufino Mendoza. It is enjoyable to be able to provide financial support and mentor the children at Rufino Mendoza School. Helping out as a guest at career day or attending a pep rally, I have an interest in these kids and their future mean a lot to me. Meeting with the faculty and helping to determine some of their biggest needs often comes down to needing books for the library. There is an after school running club that I have adopted/sponsored and have enjoyed running with them. Exercise is important and must be encouraged to develop happier and healthier kids.

Mr.Berenson, We appareciate all that you do to support Rufino Mendoza Sr. Elementary School.
